Bound in Connection- Exploring Hip and Chest Harnesses as Pathways to Presence

from $35.00

Join us for an evening of rope, connection, and embodied exploration. This 3-hour class (includes time for performance and free exploration) invites you to experience rope as a pathway to presence, trust, and deeper attunement with another.

The evening will open with a 2 hour class, led by a short performance and demonstration by Amanda “Rev Rucifer”, who brings years of experience in the art of rope and the art of connection. Amanda has facilitated multiple events at The Forest Haven, and each time she brings her signature blend of kindness, playfulness, maturity, and skill.

You’ll be guided through learning simple, potentially more elaborate, chest and hip harnesses, while exploring the relational aspects of tying and being tied: communication, consent, breath, and body awareness.

This class is open to all levels- whether you’re completely new to rope or a seasoned tier looking to refine your craft, you’ll find new ways to connect, play, and learn.

After the instructional portion, the evening will flow into a period of open exploration, where participants can continue practicing, connecting, and weaving the evening’s learnings into shared experience.

If you’ve been vetted for The Forest Haven, you’re welcome to come solo and partner up in the space (switching partners is welcome throughout the night).

If you have not been vetted, please arrive with a partner and plan to stay with that partner for the duration of the event.

Come with curiosity, care, and a willingness to be present.
